National Day of Prayer

Michael Johnson and Hunter Tunell - two of our NDP prayers

Thursday was National Day of Prayer and every year our community celebrates by having a time of prayer at the courthouse in Superior. I have been to it a few times over the years, when I have been in town. But this year we had the idea to bring some students along. So I threw it out there to see if any students were interested. They would be released at 11:45am and we would be bringing them back to school at 1:15pm.

We had 7 students come to this event - all junior highers! Actually all 8th graders! Woot to the class of 2015!!!! Special thanks to the students who came - Philip McCotter, Grant Hanson, Jaycie Paulson, Derek Copperud, Michael Johnson, Julianna Erickson, and Hunter Tunell. It was a fun time and a great way to live out our faith and show the community what we believe in!

I know for a fact that the adults at this event were impacted by the many number of students who showed up. It was a great time of prayer and really cool to be in a setting where we could worship in as public a place as the courthouse! Rock on!
