Well the Christmas season is upon us.  School is taking a break and so are we!  We will be off youth group for the next couple weeks due to Christmas and New Year's.

The next normal night of youth group will be Wednesday, January 7th - 2015!!!!

Christmas time is here...

Join us this Wednesday night for our last night of youth group in 2014!

We will be having a Christmas activity that will be a lot of fun.

Just an FYI, there will not be youth group on December 24 due to Christmas eve and there will not be youth group on December 31 due to New Year's eve.

The next regular youth group will be the first of 2015 - on January 7th.

Harbor House Christmas Party

We have had some wonderful serving and outreach projects so far this year.  It all started last summer when 9 of our students went on a short missions trip to Minneapolis.

We also have served a meal to the homeless at the Union Gospel Mission in Duluth AND helped volunteer at the Special Olympics bowling tournament.

This Saturday is our next outreach and service project.  We are going to have a Christmas Party with children at the Harbor House.  The Harbor House is a homeless shelter in Superior.  There are different families each month that live in the house until they can find a place to live.  We are going to hang out with their children so the parents can get away for an afternoon.  We plan to play games and have lots of Christmas fun!

We plan to meet at the church at 2:15pm.  The event will start at 2:30pm at the Harbor House in South Superior.  We should be done by about 5:00pm and back to the church by 5:15pm or so.

Bayside Bowl Results

Bayside Bowl IX was last Saturday and it turned out to be a great event!  We had about 40 students show up and there was lots of fun.  Dodge ball, nerf wars, video games, card games, pizza, cookies and of course - the football!

We had 25 players and 4 teams this year.  It was a great tournament once again.  The four teams competing were Well Oiled Machine, The Best Team in the World, Team Blaze and Beast Mode.  After playing each other once, there was a single elimination round and then a championship.  Well Oiled Machine and The Best Team in the World met in the championship game.  The Well Oiled Machine won the game 43-36 on a touchdown catch by Anthony Severson with 14 seconds left in the game.  It was Anthony's 9th touchdown catch on the day - a Bayside Bowl record.  Anthony (pictured above) was named the most valuable player.

Pray for Deartis

We had a great Bayside Bowl on Saturday.  Many students showed up, the weather and activities were perfect and we had a great time.  Results of the football tournament will be posted later.

One unfortunate thing that did happen was Deartis broke his wrist while playing football.  We ask for your prayers for him as he has surgery on Monday morning.  Please pray for a safe surgery and a quick and smooth recovery.

Youth Group this Wednesday

This Wednesday, December 3rd youth group is BACK!  We took a week off for Thanksgiving but now we are BACK!

This week will feature many reasons to come:

-free dinner at 5:45
-worship
-games
-a quiz (Dragon Ball Z is on the quiz schedule)
-our Bible study of Hebrews 11
-and so much more
