WORK

Homework?  What homework?  Many of you are probably fighting through the grind of the semester with the end of the school year looming so far away.

So when do you get all your homework done?  How do you get all your homework done?  How much homework do you have?

A verse to encourage you in whatever "work" you may be dealing with.  Homework, school work, work work or even church work.

Colossians 3:23
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."

Press on my fellow workers!

Wood Lake Bible Camp Video

Last Sunday night we talked about Wood Lake Bible Camp and we want to encourage all students to consider attending Wood Lake Bible Camp this summer.

We tried to watch their video promoting summer camp but it just wouldn't play.  So, as promised here is a link to a video about WLBC in the summer of 2013:

We have brochures at church about camp.  Our church also provides scholarships to help pay towards the camp fees.  Any students interested should see me for more information.

If you have more questions about Wood Lake Bible Camp this summer just let me know.

This Sunday

We are very excited to let you know that Ben Sutton from Wood Lake Bible Camp will be joining us for youth group this Sunday night.  He will have more information about summer camp and we are going to have a night dedicated to Wood Lake Bible Camp.

In fact, Ben will actually be at our church services on Sunday morning as well.  We encourage you to come to Bayside for one of our two services, either 9:00am or 10:30am to hear more about Ben and the ministry of Wood Lake Bible Camp.

We are excited about summer camp and hope that every student from Bayside youth group will consider going to Wood Lake Bible Camp this summer.  Our church provides scholarships and will do everything we can to help you get to camp!

So come and find out more about WLBC this Sunday.  And those of you in 9th-12th grade please join us for Senior High youth group on Sunday night from 6:30pm-8:00pm.  Also, be prepared to share a testimony if God has used Wood Lake Bible Camp to have an impact or influence on your life.

For more information about Wood Lake Bible Camp you can visit their website at www.woodlakebiblecamp.org or click on the link that is on the left side of our blog!

See you Sunday!

Encouragement

This last week we talked about the power of words.  We talked about encouraging others.  We studied this verse in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 - "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up."

Our challenge was for the students of Bayside youth group to encourage others this week.  To encourage at least 1 other person this week.  Or maybe to encourage 5 people this week.  Or maybe more!

So what have you done?  How has it worked?  How has it affected others?  How has it changed your week?

If you know someone who looks or feels like Hunter (above) - encourage them this week!

Let us know about it by leaving a comment on this post.  And be ready to share your stories this week at youth group.

Scavenger Hunt

Last night we had a great time at Senior High youth group.  We had a talk about encouraging words, a quiz on holidays, a missions presentation by Olivia and a big group scavenger hunt game.

There were 30 items throughout the church building and we had 4 teams.  Each team would send 1 player at a time to fetch one of the items at a time.  We had some great laughs, a lot of running and a few embarrassing moments!

It was a fun night and in the end - the boys won!

April Fool's Day - yes or no?

For some reason April 1st has been associated as April Fool's Day.  And most people either love this and come up with pranks and jokes all the day long - OR - they hate it and can't stand living through the day until it's over.

So which one are you?

And if you have a good April Fool's story - share one on a comment!
