Equip Youth Rally

Last night was the Equip youth rally. So what did you guys think? How did it go? Was it fun? What was your favorite part? Do you like events like this? Do you want to do these types of events more often?

Sorry that I was not able to be there. I am currently in school and could not make it to the event. I hope you guys had a lot of fun.

Equip Youth Rally this Wednesday

Don't forget about it! This Wednesday (April 28) we will be attending the Equip 2010 Youth Rally rather than our normal youth group at Bayside. All students 6-12 grade are encouraged to go straight to North Bay Church at 6:30. There will be ice cream, games, videos, worship and more. The event will go from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Many of the local churches and youth groups will be there with us. You don't want to miss out - be there!

Senior High Night at the White House

Tonight is the night! Senior highers are invited to our house for games, videos, video games, food, and fun. It will be from 6-9pm. Hope to see you there!

What are the Christ-following essentials?

We have been going through the book of Galatians on Wednesdays in youth group. Last week as we discussed Galatians 2 the question came up of, "What are the things that all Christians must agree on regarding the faith?" In our discussions we came up with a short list but it is certainly not exhaustive. Here is what we came up with:

1. There is one God.
2. Jesus was God, and Son of God.
3. Jesus was sinless.
4. Jesus was crucified physically and died literally.
5. Jesus rose from the dead to new life.
6. The bible is the final authority and God’s perfect word.
7. All of us have sinned.
8. God is perfect and created everything.
9. Salvation is by faith.
10. There is only one way to heaven - faith in Jesus Christ

As you look over this list, is there anything you think that should be added? Why is it important for us to agree on these things? What if someone claims Christ yet disagrees with these statements? How do we deal with our differences of belief? Come back on Wednesday as we continue to dig through the book of Galatians to find answers on rising up in our faith!

Youth Leader of the Month

Tom Casper is our April youth leader of the month. "Big Daddy" has been a part of Bayside youth group for several years serving as the 'game guy' and a junior high small group leader. Tom is married to Mary and they have four boys: Tommy, Mike, Kyle, and Cody. All four have been an active part of our youth group. Tommy is also a youth leader and Cody is still in senior high. Tom and Mary are also proud grandparents of Lillie and Alexa Casper. Tom is a security guard on the weekends and sings special music on occasion at our church.

Youth Group on Wednesday

Hey everyone! Just wanted to remind you to come out to youth group this Wednesday, April 7th. We are beginning a new series through the book of Galatians, there will be some sweet games, and we will have a slide show with pictures from this year's retreat, RISE UP! FYI, we will also be splitting up the junior and senior high. It is setting up to be a great night. You don't want to miss out!

Easter Buffet Breakfast

Just a reminder to everyone that signed up to help out with Bayside's Easter buffet breakfast. It's tomorrow morning already! Please be to the church before 8:00am so you can be ready to serve when the buffet opens at 8. The breakfast goes until 8:45 so you will be serving the whole time, but then should have a few minutes afterwards to enjoy breakfast for yourself. See you there!
