Valley Fair trip this Thursday - June 25th!

We have a big trip planned to Valley Fair this week!  We need more students signed up to fill the bus!  If you are planning on going you need to have your permission slip and $55 in to Pastor Tom by WEDNESDAY night at youth group!

We will be leaving Thursday morning at 7am from Central Assembly of God Church (near the Skate Park in Superior).  We will be riding a motor coach bus down to Valley Fair (TVs and wifi YES) and coming back around 10:30pm-11:00pm.  We will return to Central Assembly as well.

Rejoice, Rejoice!

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.”

Philippians 4:4

In Philippians chapter 4 Paul writes several great words of wisdom for believers.  Some of them many of us have memorized and even used as life verses.  When reading through the epistle to the church of Philippi again, I was impressed with verse 4.

Paul encourages us to rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS, and then for good measure he says it again, rejoice.  I’ve always heard and said that if the Bible says something twice it must be important.  Paul reiterates his encouragement to rejoice.  It’s so important that it’s worth saying twice.  And worth doing twice.

Notice how Paul doesn’t say rejoice when things are going great.  Or rejoice when you have a victory.  Or rejoice when you know God is working in your life.  He says rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS. 

Always!  No matter what is going on in your life today.  Rejoice!  I will say it again, REJOICE!

Valley Fair!

We are going to Valley Fair!

Thursday, June 25th.  All day!  We will be taking a motor-coach bus down to the cities with the other area youth groups.  Spots are limited so if you want to go you need to register ASAP.

All students in 6th-12th grade are welcome to attend.  Must have a permission slip on file and the cost is $55 per student.

Sign up this Wednesday night by bringing your money and permission slip to youth group!

Set Apart Conference for Girls

All girls in 4th-12th grade are invited to join us for the Set Apart Simulcast this Friday and Saturday.  You can come any time during the weekend.  We will have food, worship, prayer, fellowship and the sessions for the conference.

Friday's schedule is from 7pm-10pm.

Saturday will begin at 8:30am and go until 10:00pm.

Again you are welcome to come at any time!
