“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will
say, rejoice.”
Philippians 4:4
In Philippians chapter 4 Paul writes several great words of
wisdom for believers. Some of them many
of us have memorized and even used as life verses. When reading through the epistle to the
church of Philippi again, I was impressed with verse 4.
Paul encourages us to rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS, and then
for good measure he says it again, rejoice.
I’ve always heard and said that if the Bible says something twice it
must be important. Paul reiterates his
encouragement to rejoice. It’s so
important that it’s worth saying twice.
And worth doing twice.
Notice how Paul doesn’t say rejoice when things are going
great. Or rejoice when you have a
victory. Or rejoice when you know God is
working in your life. He says rejoice in
the Lord ALWAYS.
Always! No matter what
is going on in your life today.
Rejoice! I will say it again,
REJOICE!
