JR HIGH Youth Group and AMP CANCELLED tonight!

Because of the current snow and wind storms going though Superior, we will not be having JR HIGH youth group or AMP tonight - February 29.

If you are a JR HIGH student and you still need to pay for the retreat, you have until Monday, March 5 to bring your money and permission slip to the church. So you can either drop it by the church office, or bring it to church this coming Sunday. Contact Pastor Tom for more info.

Calling all Junior Highers

Our retreat is just 10 days away and we already have 27 students signed up. HOWEVER, only 5 are junior high students! C'mon people! WE need to get you JR HIGH students signed up. This Wednesday night is your last chance to sign up at youth group. Although, the absolute deadline is next Monday, March 5.

To sign up you need a permission slip on file and $60 turned in to me. So bring it this Wednesday to youth group. AND you can also invite a friend! Hope to see you Wednesday!

SR HIGH Youth Group Tonight (February 26)

As of right now we WILL be having youth group tonight for SR HIGH - February 26. There has been some snow and windy conditions, and there might be a storm coming sometime today or tonight.

I will post any changes by 4pm today if we decide not to have it. I will also post on facebook.

There has been very little activity on our blog these days - by both you and me! I have been busily getting ready for the retreat. Things are going well and we are excited about this HUGE event. If you haven't signed up yet, talk to me ASAP!

3 weeks away!

We are just 3 weeks away from our biggest event of the year - the annual Bayside youth group retreat! Our 2012 retreat is "Hide and Seek" and will be held March 9-11 at Storybook Lodge in Gilbert, MN. The cost is $60 per student and all students must have a permission slip on file. We encourage you to invite your friends, they are welcome. We are hoping for 50 students or more this year.

Sign up now! By turning in your permission form and money you are signed up. So get it to us by the next youth group. The deadline to sign up is Monday, March 5.

At the retreat we will have tons of fun. You will get a free t-shirt, we will have lots of great food, and we will have games, basketball, dodge ball, volleyball, ice breakers, worship, challenging speakers, sledding, night games and so much more.

How many will register for the retreat this week?

Our biggest event of the year is just 23 days away!!!! The 2012 Bayside youth retreat is scheduled for Friday, March 9th through Sunday, March 11th at Storybook Lodge in Gilbert, MN. This is for all students in 7th-12th grade - and your friends are welcome! The cost is $60 and each student must have a permission slip on file. You can sign up NOW by getting your permission slip turned in and payment to Pastor Tom.

This week we are having a little competition between the JR HIGH And SR HIGH groups. Who will get the most students signed up this week? JR HIGH has until youth group tonight, and SR HIGH has until youth group on Sunday night.

So get signed up! Also, if money is an issue or the reason why you might not be able to go - please contact Pastor Tom ASAP. Or have your parents contact ASAP. We can work it out. We want every student to be able to go.

2012 Youth Retreat - 4 Weeks from Today!!!

That's right, in exactly 4 weeks we will be leaving for our 2012 Bayside youth retreat. This exciting and amazing event is for all students in 7th-12th grade. All are encouraged to bring a friend, or many friends! All students attending must have an updated 2012-2013 permission slip on file at Bayside. You can get these from me any Sunday or Wednesday. Also, the cost is only $60! That includes a youth group t-shirt that we promise is going to look awesome!

At the retreat we will have awesome times of worship, powerful and challenging messages, great food, small group times, sledding, carpet ball, ping pong, foosball, dodge ball, night games, volleyball, basketball, prizes and so much more!!! You will not want to miss it.

So get signed up today! Or the next time you are at church or youth group. Bring your money and your slip if you haven't turned it in yet.

The Eyes of the Lord are searching...

As I was reading through my Bible in 90 days (part of my 12 challenges in 2012) the other day, I came across a verse that stood out. I want to share it with you to see what you think:

2 Chronicles 16:9:
"For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the Earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."

Are you fully committed to him?
Is your heart strengthened?

No Senior High youth group on Sunday, February 5

Just wanted to remind everyone that we will NOT be having senior high youth group this coming Sunday, February 5th.
